The Light Pedal is the world's first analog optical spring reverb system that uses infrared optical sensors. This system is used to take full advantage of the full harmonic and timbral range of the spring reverb cabinet. The Light Pedal mixes the best features of a classic spring reverb with an innovative optical pickup system and a powerful effects section.

This combination allows for countless new textures of reverbs and sounds. The Light Pedal uses extremely sensitive optical sensors that are aimed at different places on the spring. Optical sensors detect the most subtle movements on the surface of the spring as sound waves pass through it. This method captures many more frequencies, harmonics and textures than with a mechanical reverb process. Optical pickups also allow new effects for spring reverbs like tremolo, modulation, feedback and added harmonics. The result is a wide variety of reverb sounds classic as well as experimental, even purely magical!

The Light Pedal interface pushes the boundaries of spring reverb even further. The signal mixing section allows precise metering of the original signal, classic reverb and new optical reverbs. Different effects can be stacked and controlled by playing dynamics or by an external expression pedal.
