Building on the double cutaway shape made famous by the Starfire IV, V and VI, the Starfire I DC has a semi-hollow body using a mahogany center block for feedback reduction and greater sustain. The Starfire I DC retains the airy and crisp tone you expect from a semi-hollowbody. The Starfire I DC Pelham Blue has an elegantly belted Maple top, back and sides. The 24 3/4 ”scale length and slim, modern U-shaped neck profile allow for fast and smooth playing and the neck / body articulation at the 18th fret allows easy access to the treble of the fingerboard. Premium Guild Vintage 18 tuners with their 18: 1 gear ratio and Tune-o-matic bridge ensure tuning hold and harmonic stability. Guild's HB-2 Alnico II humbucking pickups bring a rich vintage tone and push-pull single-coil switching is possible from either pickup. All of these features come standard in the Starfire I series.
