It is the successor to the Powertone I and II amps which were popular among hard and metal guitarists. This version has new features such as a Drive setting on the clean channel, an OTS circuit, Presence and Depth settings, 2 Volume settings on the master, 2 effects loops in series or parallel and MIDI control of all functions controllable with the pedal. There are 50 Watts and 100 Watts, with 1 or 2 EL34 power tubes. The rear panel offers 5 speaker outputs for connecting speakers to 4Î ©, 8Î © or 16 Î ©. Channel 1 offers clean sounds with lots of dynamics up to moderate overdrives. Channel 2 has been modified for a US-style sound with a more complex sound, rich in harmonics and with a lot of definition and depth. The OTS circuit is a small tube amp that can be overdriven to create true power amp saturation at any output volume and is available on both channels. Effects loops can be turned on / off with the included FS-2 footswitch or a MIDI footswitch. The direct output on the rear has a speaker simulation as if a microphone were placed in front of the cabinet.
