kun cushion K542
Super model for violin 3/4 - 1/2 black
Presented in 1972 by the late Joseph Kun (violin and bow maker, violin teacher recognized in his native Czechoslovakia), the first Kun cushion was handmade from metal and in very small quantities. However, this first model had two essential characteristics: a new ergonomic shape improving comfort and ease of play, a simple mechanism allowing the cushion to be adjusted in three directions. Always keeping in mind the quality of sound, the objective was to design a support in minimum contact with the instrument, so that vibrations are not absorbed. For the next ten years, Kun's basic prototype was at the forefront of the market and its original form is still used today. Considering all the other benefits of Kun cushions, they are definitely the most functional. Since 1975, under the leadership of Marina Kun, the Kun cushion has continued to set standards in design and technology. With a simple and rigorous strategy: combine high quality, creativity and technical innovations to produce models that inevitably become references.
Practical and simple, the ORIGINAL cushion is based on the first models made by hand by Kun. It is adjustable in 3 directions and the attachment tabs are mounted on a patented system which avoids any contact between the support and the instrument. Introduced in 1989, the SUPER model is characterized by an aerodynamic and elegant shape, but also by a simplified size adjustment mechanism which allows very precise adjustments. This light cushion is a model of choice for all demanding musicians. Presented for the first time in 1994, the FOLDING cushion quickly became a reference. Designed from the Original cushion, this innovative model is equipped with legs that fold away for easy storage and transport. It also incorporates a blocking system developed and patented by Kun.
