The LEHLE SUNDAY DRIVER II is a very high quality preamp and DI box with compact dimensions. Its circuit is based on a discrete class A input stage with JFET technology. It offers two operating modes which are chosen using a gold contact selector. Mode D stands for "Driver", it amplifies the signal of your guitar in a totally neutral way with the input impedance of your amp. This not only maintains a strong and clear signal with unchanged dynamics, but also prevents any loss of sound caused by cables and effects in the signal stream. The second mode is S like “Sunday”, it multiplies the input impedance by five, which has the effect of revealing previously inaudible sound details. As the gain increases, your guitar sound takes on the characteristic warmth and personality that the preamp takes its name from - this tone is as pleasant as the quiet of a Sunday afternoon. Even with +18 dB of gain, the sound of the LEHLE SUNDAY DRIVER II is still clear. And thanks to 130 dB dynamic range worthy of the best studio equipment, the signal is devoid of any residual noise. To exploit the full dynamics of your tube amps, the input voltage behind the power connector is rectified, filtered, stabilized and then transformed to reach 30V to maximize level reserve. Since the LEHLE SUNDAY DRIVER II can be powered with phantom power and its output is balanced, you can also use it as a direct box (DI) on stage and as a preamp in the studio. As a line amplifier for large stages or complex setups, the LEHLE SUNDAY DRIVER II is a universal solution thanks to its linear bandwidth from 20 to 100,000 Hz.
