Housed in the heart of the LEHLE P-SPLIT III, a LEHLE HZ TRANSFORMER inserts galvanic isolation between the two outputs, which helps prevent ground loop and hum problems. The LEHLE HZ TRANSFORMER is specially designed for high impedance signals but also allows to split low impedance signals without degrading them. The ISO output delivers the signal in balanced or unbalanced form. You can invert the phase of the ISO output signal using the phase inverter with gold contacts to eliminate any phase cancellations that degrade the sound reproduction. In traditional use, the LEHLE P-SPLIT III allows an input signal to be split on two outputs. So you can connect an instrument to two devices. It can be two amps, but also an amp and a mixer or a recording system (audio interface + DAW). Thanks to its balanced ISO output, the LEHLE P-SPLIT III is also a very high quality passive direct box (DI) suitable for all types of signals. Another interesting application is to use the LEHLE P-SPLIT III to effectively suppress residual noise. When connecting two electronic devices to each other, the creation of ground loops can generate residual noise. In this case, the LEHLE P-SPLIT III is a simple but extremely effective solution: you just need to plug it in between the two devices. This versatile splitter can also act as a passive mono summator for stereo signals. In this case, it suffices to use the DIR output as the second input. The ISO output allows galvanic isolation of the two devices, which eliminates all residual noise.
