Maxon distortion Osd-9 Od Soft Disto
Improved version of the legendary OD880 Overdrive / Soft Distortion by Maxon which appeared in 1977-1980. Much like the OD880, the OSD9 has two settings and creates a soft, natural and warm distortion like that of a tube amp. The original UA741 op amp installed in the distortion circuitry provides low noise overdrive. OSD9 has a different passive distortion circuit than OD808 or OD9. It is very effective when used as a booster on a tube amp.
